EdChoice Scholarships – Ohio Residents
If you live in Ohio, desire a Christian Education for your family, and meet enrollment requirements, you can receive a scholarship to cover your tuition. Ohio has expanded the Educational Choice (EdChoice) Scholarship Program to include every privately schooled K-12 student in the state.
The amount awarded depends on family income, but all privately schooled Ohio students can get some scholarship amount towards tuition. Click on the EdChoice Expansion Fact Sheet button below for more information and to see how you can get this scholarship.
The following students are eligible for the EdChoice Traditional Scholarship.
- Students who would be attending EdChoice public school buildings in their districts of residence; (There are none in Belmont County at this time, see link to designated list below).
- Students whose sibling received a traditional EdChoice Scholarship in the preceding year;
- Students who are foster children;
- Students who reside in a certified foster home;
- Students placed with a guardian, legal custodian or in kinship care;
- Students who reside in the same household as a student who was placed with a guardian, legal custodian or in kinship care for at least 45 consecutive days;
- Students who reside in the household of another for at least 45 days and but for not living there would have been homeless; or
- Students who reside in a household with a student who would have been homeless (see previous criteria) for at least 45 consecutive days.

Hope Scholarship – West Virginia Residents
The Hope Scholarship Program, administered by the State of West Virginia, offers K-12 students in West Virginia the opportunity to attend participating private schools. Eligibility for the 2026-2027 year has expanded to include all students who are eligible to be enrolled in a West Virginia public school. Existing private school and homeschool students who have not previously been eligible for the Hope Scholarship program will be eligible to participate beginning in 2026.
